Documentary-style video for agencies in the Bay Area — in English & Spanish
Public institutions run on trust. Before a resident applies to a program, a stakeholder backs a budget, or a funder renews a contract, they need to have faith in agency staff and see the impact of what they do. Video is how that faith gets built — community members and staff speaking in their own words, the work itself visible on the ground. That’s what we do for cities, counties, and public agencies around Oakland and the Bay Area: tell stories that inspire support and participation.
Community Outreach & Communications
Public awareness campaigns, program promotion, internal communications, and workforce storytelling all help get people to apply, participate, buy in, or understand what an agency does and why it matters. We also produce videos for conferences and events that help the ideas and information shared there reach people beyond the room.
Here are four examples of our community outreach and communications work:
Public Health Video Production
Public health communication asks more of video than most work does: sensitive subjects, diverse audiences, and a need for engagement that builds trust and moves people to act. These pieces are made with care for the people in them and the communities they’re meant to impact — in English and Spanish.
How We Work with Public Agencies
We’re used to the realities of public-sector work: multiple stakeholders, review cycles, funding pressures, and the fact that the people on camera often represent something larger than themselves. Every project is guided from the first conversation to the final cut by the same producer.
We do in-house Spanish-language video production as a matter of cultural competency, not translation added as an afterthought. Reaching immigrant and underserved residents in their own language is often the difference between a message that lands and one that’s ignored. And we cut vertical social versions from the same production, so a campaign reaches people where they actually are.
Our work has earned two Telly Awards, but what matters more to us is what happens after delivery — the effect on the communities our clients serve, and what a video lets an agency do next. The Port of Oakland used our Airport Perimeter Dike video to pitch local newsrooms, and KTVU ran portions of it in an 11 o’clock news segment on the project’s latest milestones.
Have a project in mind? Let’s talk.
Whether you’re launching a public awareness campaign, promoting a program, or reaching a community that too rarely sees itself represented, we can help you tell your story with authenticity and impact.
