Crisis Intervention Training

ABOUT

This is a promotional video for the Crisis Intervention Training program (CIT), co-run by the Alameda County Public Health Department and the Oakland police department. CIT trains officers in de-escalation techniques for use on mental health crisis calls, a training essential in helping to save lives. Because our videos on the program have been widely circulated, they have educated other police departments and raised awareness in the community.
